Homecoming

    Where is home to you?

The bible says we as Christians; this world is not our home.  "For our citizenship is in heaven, and we are aliens and strangers of this world". -Philippians 3:20 and 1 Peter 2:11-12.

Billy Graham wrote a book, "Nearing Home:  Life, Faith, and Finishing Well".  He knows that this world is not his home.

Billy Graham will be turning 95 on November 7th, he was born in 1918.  In Billy Graham's Biography written by Mary Fairchild she writes, "Billy Graham, the American Christian evangelist, is best known for his worldwide evangelistic crusades preaching the message of Christianity to more people than anyone in history. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) reports, nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries have been reached through his ministry.  In his lifetime, he has led many thousands to make a decision to receive Jesus as personal savior and to live for Christ."

On November 7th, Billy Graham is bringing a final call to America with "My Hope America".  It's a 30 minute video presentation that will air in the U.S. and in Canada.  BGEA is asking that you be in prayer and invite all non-believers either to your home, local churches, or other venues to watch. "It could be Billy Graham's final call to America to turn to God, explains Preston Parrish, BGEA Vice President for My Hope with Billy Graham."-My Hope America: Billy Graham's call to America
Billy Graham's heart is for everyone to find Jesus, so that heaven will be their home.

Billy Graham has worked hard to minister to millions of people by telling them about Jesus.  His work is coming to an end and he is looking forward to that great homecoming in Heaven where he will get to see Jesus face to face.  As Christians, we all are looking forward to the great Homecoming where we can see Jesus and all our loved ones that have gone before us.

If you attend church you always look forward to homecoming because you know that you will get to see people you haven't seen in a while, hear special music and speakers, and eat a buffet of delicious food.

A lot of preparation and hard work goes into having homecoming, weeks in advance you start preparing for that special day. The leadership and congregation work many hours preparing the building and grounds, the special service, and the food.  The day of homecoming is an exciting time because all the preparation and hard work comes to a completion, and we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

The Message
Chad Albertson

The church keeps saying tomorrow.
Don't put off tomorrow, what you can do today.
I am the One.
God has called me for this time, this hour, and this place.
How close are we?
Your marriage is worth it.
Your family is worth it.
He is worth it.
Be the One.

The Food

The Fellowship

This was a great homecoming, but it doesn't compare to
the one that is going to take place in Heaven.
You don't want to miss it!
Where is your home?

"My home is in Heaven.  I'm just passing through."
-Billy Graham
