Dacusville Community Library

I know a man that seems to have the answers to many questions, I asked him how does he know so much? He responded by saying, " I read."

Do you enjoy reading, Dacusville has a new library located in the Community Center.

"For the community, by the community"

Volunteers
The new library was established by many community volunteers that worked tirelessly cleaning the facility, then collecting and stocking the books. The volunteers collected over 4,000 books; Mt. Carmel donated 2 truck loads and retired teachers donated 600. The volunteers are still collecting books, they ask that if  you donate please let them be new or slightly used good books.

The library opened for the first time on Saturday, June 7th from 9-12.  Many visitors (70-80) came out to the grand opening.  The library kicked off their Summer Reading Program for the children, they had snow cones, ice cream truck, hay rides, popcorn, Dacusville Fire Department, and  story time.

Story Time every Saturday at 10:00 am

Check out some of the citizens from our community that visited our new library.....

It is very important that children read during the summer months to prevent the "Summer Slide".

The Library is open each Saturday morning from 9-12 in the old Dacusville Elementary School Library at the Community Center. The library offers many great volunteer opportunities as well.

Take A Stand

Dacusville Community Churches.......

We've been praying for an Awakening in our community.  We've been seeking for His guidance and protection.  Monday night at 7PM we will meet at Mt.Carmel to discuss how we can join together and take a stand against the distillery they are wanting to put in the Old Hester Store.  We cannot afford to silently sit by. The church has done this for too long.  I am tired of the violence, murders, drugs, and broken families.

Please join us!  Share this if you care....
