She watches as her child grows each day, hitting each mile stone....eating solid foods, rolling over, sitting up, and walking. Time for the child to start school, kindergarten, first, second, third, etc. She watches as the child develops and uses their talents and skills to do things they enjoy. The mother has watched as the young child is now an adult ready to spread their wings and fly.
The mother is proud, yet fearful when their child shares with them that they want to serve our country in the military. The day is here, the mother watches as her child leaves trusting in her heart that her child is making the right decision. And then she gets the news that no mother wants to hear, her child was killed in battle.
Now imagine that the child belongs to you, and you are the mother or father.
